Deliver the Daily Election Files to Candidates
This topic explains how to deliver the three daily election files posted by the county during the election cycle—the Absentee Information File and the Early Voting Voters List—to candidates running in the election.
If your county has a VR Tower website and you have set up the candidate to retrieve their files, the three daily election files are automatically placed in each candidate's area provided that these check boxes are selected on the Candidate Maintenance dialog:
- Provide Early Voter Details—Gives the candidate access to the Early Voting Voters List and the Early Voting Summary.
- Provide Absentee Status File—Gives the candidate access to the Absentee Information File.
See How to Give a Candidate Access to the Candidate File Distribution Service on Your Website for setup instructions.
If one or more of the daily files have not been sent to candidates, you will see an alert in VR Dashboard. For state elections, you will see the StateElectionFiles alert; for non-statewide elections, the alert is LocalElectionFiles. If Alerts Maintenance is set up to send emails for those alerts, the designated recipient(s) will also receive an email.
Counties that do not use VR Tower can deliver these files to candidates manually. They are located in the folder I:\Vr6Sharedbinaries\FVRSUpload under these file names:
