About
Voter Card is a program that needs to be running on your workstation in order to print a single voter information card directly from the voter's record. In addition to the Voter Card, the following things must also be set up to enable immediate printing of voter information cards:
The option Immediate Printing of VIC Permitted must be selected in VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Options > VIC Options.
The printer where cards will print must be selected under View > Options in the Voter Card program. After viewing the printer, you must then click Restart Processing to unpause the program.
The format of your voter information cards must be defined in the Document Maintenance. See Check_the_Form_Layout_of_VoterCard for instructions.
To run the VoterCard program, go to PRINTING > Voter Card.
The Voter Card dialog will appear, with the text Cards Waiting in the dialog's title area. The Cards Waiting message confirms that the Voter Card program is in the processing state and is ready to process printing. If instead the message is Cards Paused, you must click Restart Processing to get it going.
To print a card from the voter's record, see How to Print a Voter Information Card. If the Voter Card program is not running when you attempt to print the card from the voter's record, the card will not print immediately; it will be scheduled in the Notices Queue and can be printed from there. The Voter Card program need not be running to print voter information cards from the Notices Queue, but it must be running to print cards from a voter's record.
Some counties want a voter label to be printed along with each voter information card. See About the Voter Label Program for more instructions on setting this up.
