Place the voter's
ID card in the card reader tray so that the bar code on the back of
the photo ID is facing up and the top of the photo ID is pointing
down. The bar code must be positioned as shown in the image below:
On the Home
Screen, touch Scan ID.
The following screen appears.
NOTE: The barcode on the voter's ID should appear in the red box on the left side of the screen.
When the voter’s ID is successfully processed, the Name and Address Verification dialog appears.
Important: If the Name and Address Verification screen does not appear after 10 to 15 seconds, touch Calibrate Reader and follow the instructions in the Setup 2D Scanner section of this document. If you are still unable to scan their ID, perform a manual search.
If
only one voter record is found, the Name
and Address Verification dialog will appear. Continue
with the steps in the Verify
Voter’s Eligibility and Check Them in to Vote section.
OR
If the voter record cannot be found,
perform a manual search.
