Office Holder List
This form shows a list of current incumbents for races in which your county’s voters are eligible to vote, including federal, state, district, and local offices.
To provide office holder information on your website, you must define each office in the Candidate Services application in Voter Focus and then add an Office Holders page to your website. The information includes the current incumbent, their party affiliation, contact information and district.
When you make changes to the list of office holders, you must schedule an update for the changes to appear on your website. For instructions, see Update Office Holders, List of Precincts, and Statistics Information.
An Office Holders link also appears by default in Precinct Finder and Voter Information Lookup, regardless of whether the office holders are defined. If you do not want this link to appear, you must disable it.
As the requestor moves through the request service, page content dynamically changes, depending on the options selected, to provide an easy, streamlined experience. Requestors only see questions and messages that are applicable to their individual situation. They can also select their preferred language, and site content will be translated using Google Translator.
To setup the Office Holders List on your website, complete the following steps:
- Set up or update the list of current officeholders in Voter Focus.
- Add the Office Holders List to your website or link directly to the list.
- If you make updates to the list of officers, schedule an update to publish this new information to your website.
If you do not want to provide office holder information in Precinct Finder or Voter Information Lookup, disable the feature.
