FlexRep Menu—Count Selected Records

The Count Select Records button gives you a message box with the number of records your selection criteria will retrieve.

The time required to arrive at a count depends on the size of your database and the type of report you have specified. If you are counting records involving voting history, more time will be required than a simple list of voters

If your specification uses the Household sort option, the count returned will be the total number of voters, not the total number of households. That is, a Count Selected Records run will return a larger number of records than a Run FlexRep run, because Count Selected Records counts all voters while Run FlexRep counts households (into which multiple voters can be consolidated).
