Protected Voters

Certain individuals such as judges, police officers, and active duty service members, as well as their families, can request that their residential and mailing addresses be concealed when voter records are accessed by the public or by poll workers on election day. The phone numbers and date of birth are also protected for these types of voters. Pre-Registered voters must be treated as protected voters until they are activated during the Activate 18 Year Olds run. When a Pre-Registered voter is activated, the protected voter flag is automatically removed from their record.

Voters who are eligible can be protected using the Protect Address? option on the voter application form and on the Maint tab in the voter record.
