Pickup Vote By Mail Ballot
When processing a pickup ballot, you have several options:
-
If the election's status is Active, on the Vote-By-Mail tab of the voter's record, click Early/In-office Vote and record the pickup on the Voting Election dialog.
-
Depending on the election status, you can issue a pickup ballot on the Vote-By-Mail Request dialog:
If the election's status is Active, you can take requests and issue pickup ballots.
If the election's status is Return Processing Only, and you are within four days after the election, you can record requests for pickups (to support post-election day corrections).
-
If a voter requests a Vote-by-Mail Ballot and then later picks up a ballot, use the Release Ballot dialog to record that a ballot has been issued.
Pickup ballots can be picked up by the voter (Voting Method = Pickup - Self) or by their designee (Voting Method = Pickup = Other). If the ballot is picked up by someone other than the voter, you will be asked to enter their name, address, and relationship to the voter.
Pickup ballots can be issued up to 49 days in advance of the election.
During early voting, the EViD system is notified of any pickup ballots issued. If the voter later checks in on an EViD station, it will show they were issued a mail ballot.
