Create a Precinct Split

Note:  If you are unfamiliar with the way your county numbers precincts, refer to About Precinct IDs before you create a precinct split.
  1. Go to STREETS & PRECINCTS > Precinct Maintenance.
  2. Select a precinct from the list and click OK. The Precinct Maintenance dialog displays.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To start from scratch with no district assignments, click New Precinct Split.
    • To copy the district assignments from an existing split, highlight the precinct split you want to copy and click New Split like....

    4. The District and City Assignment dialog displays.

  4. Select the district assignments for the precinct split. This step may not be needed if you are copying from an existing split. Your selection determines the precinct's voters' eligibility to vote in individual races in any given election.
  5. Click Save. The new precinct split displays in the list along with its district assignments for the standard district types.
