Voters on the Go (Mobile Landing Page)

Voters on the Go allows your county to deliver specific high-demand voter services via their smartphones and other small devices, such as tablets.

Overview

This includes the:

Absentee/Mail Ballot Request Form
Change-of-Address Form
Early Voting Locations and Status, including estimated wait times
Election Night Results
Mail ballot status
Precinct Finder
Turnout Quickview
Voter Information Lookup

Note: To make these web service mobile friendly, by default, any introductory text visible on the full-screen webpage for these services is removed. If you would like to add introductory text for these services in the mobile view, please contact VR Support for assistance.

The Voters on the Go mobile page content is created by adding one or more HTML-Pro modules that contain specific "shortcodes" to a webpage designated as the Voters on the Go mobile landing page. These shortcodes "tell" DNN to create a button on the Voters on the Go landing page that links directly to a specific voter services or web page.

Setup Overview

If you previously had a mobile homepage, your new Voters on the Go landing page will be created by VR and will include buttons to services and content that was on your previous mobile homepage.

If you did not have a mobile homepage, your Voters on the Go landing page will be created by VR and will include buttons to each of the services above that are currently implemented on your website.

However, you can easily modify your Voters on the Go landing page by adding, removing, or reordering the HTML modules that contain the shortcodes (or content) using the DNN Content Manager.

Using custom shortcodes, you can also create buttons that point to other content on your site. And like any other VR Tower web page, you can add custom text, such as a welcome letter, to the Voters on the Go page using the HTML Pro module.
