Create Book Closing Totals and Generate Precinct Registers

Create the Official List of Registered Voters (OLRV) using the Book Closing Totals program in Voter Focus 45 days prior to the first election held in your county each year. The Book Closing Totals program automatically creates totals for reporting purposes and generates precinct registers for the election that is in focus. After the program completes, registers are available to print or export.

Voters must meet the following criteria to be included in book closing totals and precinct registers:

  • Voter status is Active (A), Suspense (I), or FPCA (90(F)).
  • EDR is on or before the Election Date (set in Election Maintenance). The EDR respects the 30 days prior to election day deadline because it is calculated as 30 days from the Registration Date.
  • Residence is in a precinct participating in the election.
  • Voter will be at least 18 on election day.
  • If primary, voter's party is the same as the Primary Party set in Election Maintenance.
