Input Processor

The Input Processor program processes transactions received from EViD stations into county database records. This includes transactions received over the internet via the Web Messenger program and those from QLogs processed after the voting day.

A list of the transactions that Input Processor was unable to process can be seen on the EViD Exceptions dialog.

Input Processor must be running on a workstation with internet capabilities at the following times:

We recommend you start Input Processor before early voting begins and leave it running until you have an empty EViD Exceptions report.

When Input Processor is not running, its button on the EViD console is red.

When Input Processor is running, its button has a normal appearance. Do not run more than one instance of Input Processor in your county.

Input Processor is not used for voter-outreach events.

To start Input Processor:

  1. On a workstation connected to the internet, start Voter Focus and go to EViD >Input Processor.

Note: If you do not see the Input Processor button on the EViD tab, it is because you do not have the user permission EViDInputProcessor. See your Voter Focus administrator about adding this user permission to your user group.

The Input Processor dialog appears. The dialog requires no interaction on your part. It can be minimized while running.
