Voter Focus

Voter Focus is a complete voter registration and election management solution that your county uses to manage:

  • elections.

  • candidate requests.

  • voter registration.

  • tracking of Vote-By-Mail ballots.

  • production of pollbook registers.

  • assignment and payment of election workers.

  • setup of streets.

  • districts and precincts.

  • verification of petition signatures.

  • voter correspondence.

Voter Focus interfaces with the FloridaVoter Registration System (FVRS), which houses data including voter demographics and eligibility, state petition initiative signature tracking, election definitions, voting history and status, and the most recent document images. With this integration, the essential components of each voter registration record are held on the FVRS database at the Division of Elections. This data, originating primarily with HSMV and with countySupervisor of Elections offices, is transmitted to FVRS through networked connections.

Voter registration records for your county are also maintained on your county's Voter Focus database. New voter records and changes to existing ones are immediately shared between the county database and FVRS, so that voter records on the two databases remain in sync.

The county database also houses the county streets and precincts, election worker, mail ballot requests, voter activity, archive images, petition signatures, and voter communications.

In response to a the new responsibilities mandated by HAVA, the Florida Department of State also established a new Bureau of Voter Registration Services (BVRS). BVRS processes voter registration applications for the state of Florida using Voter Focus software. They also conduct research on a case-by-case basis, a person's potential ineligibility on the basis of a court order of mental incapacity or a felony conviction.
