About Candidate File Distribution

Certain files generated in Voter Focus can be posted to your VR Tower website for retrieval by candidates.

Some of these files are automatically generated by Voter Focus with no effort on your part. The other files must be generated by a Voter Focus user. Once generated, all the files are automatically transferred to the website by the SendPublicFiles program, which runs automatically every five minutes on your Voter Focus server. If you have just generated a file and don't want to wait for the next scheduled run, you can post the files manually by running VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > SendPublicFiles on your server.

You can also upload other file types using the Candidate File Distribution Administration Portal.

Candidate files are retrievable from a website page containing the Candidate File Distribution module. To access this page, the candidate must have a login account created by the elections office. This is done in Voter Focus. A candidate's login account must be set up prior to creating their files.
