Run Comms Test Utility
The Comms Test utility (accessed from Tech Utilities > Change Connection Settings) should be run from at least one EViD station at the early voting site or polling place.
- Power-up each EViD at that location and connect it to the communications system.
-
From
any single EViD, access
Tech Utilities, touch Change
Connection Settings, and then touch Test
Comms.
-
Once you have confirmed all EViDs are powered on and are connected to their communication system, touch Begin Test.
-
After 2 to 3 minutes, check the value in the Internet Connectivity field.
If Not Connected appears, none of the EViD stations are able to access the EViD Web Site. Visit the EViD station that is intended to be used as the King station and troubleshoot the connection settings on that EViD station. Once you have the problem resolved, touch Begin Test again to confirm the issue is resolved.
If Connected appears, or if you do not intended for external communications to occur at that voting site or polling location, continue to the next step - If the number in the EViDs Communicating field does not reflect the expected number, review the EViD Peer List to identify which expected EViD name does not appear.
- Visit the missing EViD station to troubleshoot communications issues on that EViD. Once you believe the communications issue is resolved, run the communications test again to ensure that the number of EViDs communicating is as expected.
