About

Timeliness of Voter Data

For counties holding a Voter Focus license, the eligibility information comes from a web-based repository updated every two hours with data from county voter registration systems.

For non-Voter Focus counties, information comes from a statewide lookup file updated monthly and after book closing for statewide elections. The date/time of the state file is displayed at the bottom of the Voter Verify search page.

This file is updated monthly and after book closing for statewide elections.

When Voters Move

If a voter in a non-Voter Focus county moves to a Voter Focus county after the statewide lookup file has been loaded into Voter Verify, a search will show the voter as resident in their new county.

If a voter moves from a Voter Focus county to a non-Voter Focus county after loading of the statewide file, the voter will be shown as not eligible in their old county. There will be no record of their having moved to the non-Voter Focus county until the statewide file is updated.
