Dialog Help
To access: VOTER REGISTRATION > Voter Maintenance > {voter} > Utilities > Override Precinct Assignment
or
Double-click the precinct ID on the voter's Application dialog.
Use this dialog when you need to assign a voter to a precinct other than the normal precinct for their residential address. The right side of the dialog shows the normal (default) precinct and, if applicable, city and city-ward settings.
After you apply a precinct override, the precinct number on the voter's application form and in their maintenance record will have a red background.

Enter the precinct into which you want to place the voter. |
City |
To put the voter in a different city district from their normal city district, select a city from the drop-down list. |
Ward |
To put the voter in a different city-ward district, select a ward from the drop-down list. |
Precinct/City info cannot change |
Select this option to prevent the voter's precinct from changing should their normal precinct be affected by redistricting. |
Normal Precinct/City Info Used |
Select this option when you want to return the voter to their normal (default) precinct and city setting after you click OK. |
