Date Entry

All dates are entered into Voter Focus through a date field like this:

The simplest way to enter a date is to type eight digits in the format MMDDYYYY. For example: 06232012. The system will then display this date as: 06/23/2012.

You can also type six digits, in which case the last two digits are the year. The system assume the year to be in period from 95 years ago through 5 years into the future. So if you are working in the year 2001, and enter the date 062307, this will become 06/23/1907. However if you enter 062302, this will become 06/23/2002. You can always get exactly the date you intend by typing the four-digit year. Voter Focus does not accept dates prior to 1850.

To change a date that is already in the system, use the arrow keys to position the cursor just after the erroneous digit, press the Backspace key to clear it, and then enter the required date.
