Dialog Help
To access: ELECTIONS > Election Utilities > Set Up Sample-Ballot Email
On this dialog, you define the sender and message text for emails going to voters who requested sample ballots by email. See How to Email Sample Ballots to Voters for instructions on the sample-ballot-emailing process.
Fields and Controls on this Dialog
Reply/From Address |
Select the email account that voters will see as the sender’s address on the email. The addresses in the drop-down list are maintained in VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Options > Email > Add Email Account. |
CC Address |
An address in the elections office to which the email will also be sent. |
Edit Text of Sample-Ballot Email Message |
Enter the message to go out with the email. |
Click to insert variable text |
A list of variable-text entries you can use in the message. These variables are replaced with the actual text when the email is sent: BallotURL—The location of the voter’s sample ballot PDF on your website. ElectionDate—The date of the election. ElectionName—The name of the election, as it appears on the Election Maintenance dialog. ElectionNumber—The election number. Precinct—The voter’s precinct ID. VoterId—The voter’s voter registration number. VoterName—The voter’s name in first name-middle initial-last name format. |
