Absentee Status for Military & Civilian Overseas Voters

This report has been replaced by the Vote-By-Mail Flexible Report run.

The instructions below explain how to produce a report for UOCAVA voters, which will include Civilian Overseas and all Military Voters, including Overseas and Absent Domestic Military. The latter category includes voters who are not necessarily overseas but are absent from their domestic post.

To produce a report with exactly the same information as the old report, you must run the Vote-By-Mail Flexible Report twice: once for MilitaryOverseas voters and once for Civilian Overseas voters. Use the instructions below and in step 2, select Military Overseas or Civilian Overseas as the Location value.

The title of the report is now the Flexible Absentee Status Report for <election name>.

To run a report showing absentee status for UOCAVA voters:

  1. Go to REPORTING > Reports > Vote-By-Mail Reports > Vote-By-Mail Voter Lists > Vote-By-Mail Flexible Report.

  2. On the Vote-By-Mail Flexible Report dialog, make the following selections:

Output Format = Status Report

Absentee Status = All

Location = UOCAVA  (This value captures Civilian Overseas, Military Overseas, and Absent Domestic Military Voters).

  1. Click OK to run the report.

When run with the above parameters, this report lists UOCAVA voters with Vote-By-Mail requests for the selected election. The report can help you identify the overseas ballots that have not been returned in the 10-day period after election day. It includes email addresses for the purpose of sending overseas voters candidate information via email.

To view a list of other ways to run this flexible report, see Vote-By-Mail Flexible Report.
