Split a Street Segment
The split segment feature lets you divide one street segment into two. You'd want to split a segment should a precinct boundary be moved into the street segment. Using the split segment feature saves you from having to delete the street segment and create two new ones. Once the segment has been split, you can easily reassign either segment to its new precinct.
If your county has a GIS interface to Voter Focus, the splitting of street segments is handled for you when you import street data from the GIS system. If you do not have a GIS interface or you want to split a street segment between GIS imports, use the procedure described here.
