Street Search Parameters

To access:  STREETS & PRECINCTS > Street Maintenance

This dialog lets you specify search criteria for a street segment. You use a search to:

  • Find the record for an existing street segment.
  • When creating a new street segment, to confirm that a record for the street segment does not already exist.

To begin a search, enter the name in the Street Name field. If you aren't sure of the spelling, or you want to broaden the search, use a portion of the name plus the wildcard character (%). For example, entering MON% will find:

MONROE

MONEY

MONA LISA, etc.

Entering %VILLE will find:

CENTERVILLE

THOMASVILLE

JACKSONVILLE, etc.

To further narrow the search, enter values for Street Dir, Street Type, Dir Suffix, House #, or Mailing City.

Click Search to scan the Streets table for a match to your search criteria. All matching street segments are listed in the left pane of the Street Segment Maintenance dialog. From there you can select the street-segment record you want to work on. If no match is found, the Street Segment Maintenance dialog displays with your street name entered and the message New Street Record in the Reference ID field.

The Clear Query button clears all fields on the dialog.

Note: This dialog also displays when a residential address entered in a voter's registration application or voter record cannot be validated by the system. This prompts you to verify the address entered is correct so you can either create a missing street segment or select from an existing street segment.
