This dialog is accessible only when the option VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Options > Use Scan First is selected. It displays the scanned image of a paper application side-by-side with the dialogs for processing voter applications, a method of processing called Scan First.
The image can be resized and rotated for easier viewing of voter-provided information. The dialog also has a mechanism for capturing a signature clip.

Clip Code |
Assists you in creating a signature clip from the image. A clip code is a pixel point on an image—defined as a horizontal (X) and a vertical (Y) position—that designates the position of the upper-left corner of the signature clip. Voter Focus calculates the location of the entire signature clip by using the clip code as a starting point. The captured area is displayed in the Signature Clip pane. The drop-down list contains preset clip codes for your county. If one of these settings doesn't capture the area you want, you can clip it manually by clicking and dragging to form a box around the area where the voter's signature lies on the form. Note The preset clip codes are specified in VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Options > Clip Codes. The clip code that appears first in the drop-down list is specified in VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Options > Image Indexing > Default Clip Code. |
