To access: VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Utilities > Voter Utilities > Recalculate Totals
In the Voter Focus database, totals are continuously kept up-to-date for the number of voters by:
District
Precinct
City
Street Segment
Party
Race
Under ideal conditions, these totals should not need to be recalculated. However, it's possible for any type of malfunction in the registering of voters to introduce the possibility of error.
The Recalculate Totals utility resynchronizes voter totals for the entire Voter Focus database, examining each voter record and adding its values to the totals for districts, precincts, etc. This program should be run only on a quiet system , because values in voter records that are open while the program is running might not be included in the totals. The program processes approximately 1000 records a second.
The Recalculate Totals utility runs automatically, early in the morning of the first day of each month, just before the Month-End Totals program runs.
