Special Instructions for Election-Worker Documents

For some election-worker mail-merge documents, a document must be set up in PRINTING > Document Maintenance. For others, this is not required. Here is a key to setup for the various mail-merge documents prepared for election workers.

How Document Is Printed

Setup

Export/Merge feature in ELECTION WORKERS > Worker Flexible Search

Send a Letter feature in ELECTION WORKERS > Worker Maintenance

Do not create a document specification in Document Maintenance.

These documents are not scheduled in the Notices Queue nor are they printed from an election-worker bulk run, so a document specification is not needed.

Store mail-merge document anywhere on your network.

Print/Email Letters to Workers Assigned to Focused Election in ELECTION WORKERS > EW Utilities > Election Worker Bulk Runs

Create a document in Document Maintenance, select Mail Merge as the document type, and select PW Document in Special Document Type.

Clear the check box Document printed from Notices Queue.

Store the mail-merge document (that is, the Word file) in \Vr6Sharedbinaries\Docs.

Class Invitation Letter printed from Train Workers > Letters

One of these programs in ELECTION WORKERS > EW Utilities > Election Worker Bulk Runs:

Print/Email Letters to Voters Interested in Election Work

Create Class Attendance Cards

Print/Email Letters to Active Workers

Create a document in Document Maintenance, select Mail Merge as the document type, and leave the Special Document Type field blank.

Clear the check box Document printed from Notices Queue.

Store the mail-merge document (that is, the Word file) in \Vr6Sharedbinaries\Docs.
