Dialog Help
To access: ELECTIONS > Maintain Election Settings > Election Maintenance > Set Districts
On this dialog, you select the districts participating in the election, saving you the effort of manually turning off the precincts that are not participating when you are assigning ballot styles to precincts. When you save your selections here on the Election District Selection dialog, precincts not involved in the election will not appear when you are doing ballot-style assignments, which should make that process a bit easier.
When the dialog first comes up, all districts are selected, as indicated by the notation ALL Districts in the Selected Districts pane.
If all districts is not what you want, the act of adding a district replaces the ALL Districts notation with the added district. To add a district, select the district type from the Type field, the district code from the District field, and click Add District.
To remove a district from the Selected Districts pane, highlight it and click Remove Selection.
Use the Clear Selections button to remove all districts currently selected, replacing them with ALL Districts.
When you click Save and Close, the precinct table for the election is updated and only precincts in selected districts will appear for ballot-style assignment.
