How to

Email a Worker

Note  This feature works automatically if you have an email client, such as Microsoft Outlook, installed on your workstation. To work with web-based email systems such as Gmail, setup outside Voter Focus might be required. Contact your IT staff to assist with this setup. If you do not have an email client on your workstation and do not have the setup for a web-based system, you can email the worker via the Send-a-Letter feature. For instructions, see How to Print or Email a Form Letter to a Worker.

If a worker's email address is in the Email field of their worker record, you can send them an email directly from their record. Simply click the link above the Email field—Send Email—to bring up a new message form in your email application. If your email software supports attachments such as letters, you can send attachments with the email.

The Send Email link does not appear if there is no address in the Email field.

The email address need not be verified to send the worker an email from the Send Email link.

Depending on the setting Record a NOTE and audit anytime an email is sent to an Election Worker (on the General tab of the EW Options dialog), a note will be automatically recorded on the worker's Notes and Audit tabs when an email is sent to them.
