Worker Maintenance—Notes Tab

To access:  ELECTION WORKERS > Worker Maintenance > Notes

On this tab you can store multiple notes about a worker. Each note can contain up to 5000 characters; there is no limit to the number of notes you can store. In addition to notes created by users, Voter Focus creates a note each time a notice or document is sent to the worker.

Notes can be used to record any type of information, such as comments about the worker's abilities and special talents, the results of class tests, and any interest they have in working positions other than their normal one.

To have a note automatically created whenever an email is sent to a voter from the Send Email link on the General tab, select Record a NOTE and Audit anytime an email is sent to an Election Worker on the EW Options dialog.

A note can be associated with a specific election, but this is not required.

Notes can be sorted by columns. To sort by the contents of a column, click on the column header.

The text Yes in the More? column indicates the note contains more text than can be displayed here. To see the full text of the note, click the entry.

The ability to manage edit and delete existing notes in worker records is governed by the user permission ElectionWorkerNotesUpdate. Without this permission, users can create notes but they cannot alter or delete them.

To create a new note:

Click New and fill out the Election Worker Note dialog.

To edit an existing note:

Click the entry and make your changes on the Election Worker Note dialog.

To delete a note:

Click the entry and, on the Election Worker Note dialog, click Delete.
