Active Status — A

Set by the county or automatically by Voter Focus.

The voter is Active and is eligible to vote.

Set automatically by Voter Focus.

An incomplete Voter Registration application was saved for an existing Active voter.

Set by the county user.

The voter is Active, but the elections office needs an update to their residential address. The note Address Update Required will appear with the voter's name in the precinct register.

Not used.

Set by the county user.

An obsolete code used prior to implementation of the voter response and communication audit features in Voter Focus to indicate a reason why a Suspense voter was reinstated. This reason code should not be selected but should be retained in existing records.

The voter was Suspense status but they were reinstated when they were recorded as voting in an election.

Set automatically by Voter Focus.

The voter is Suspense status due to lack of voter activity.

Or an Address Confirmation Request notice is scheduled for an out-of-county duplicate match type from the Eligibility Match Queue.

Deleted or Rejected Status — D

Voter applications are given the Rejected status when the county office rejects the application during application processing.

The voter status does not show a status or reason code in the voter record. The status is Rejection: followed by the primary reason for rejection.

Set automatically by Voter Focus when running the Move Incomplete Voters to Not Registered Status task in List Maintenance. This status is assigned to voters whose registration remains incomplete for ten days or longer from a date you specify.

Set automatically by Voter Focus in two ways.

The Move Challenged Voter Applications to 10 Day Status task in List Maintenance sets this status for new voters that are challenged and who fail to respond to the Notice of Challenge.

The voter record is processed using Voter Admits Ineligibility in the Eligibility Match Queue.

Set by Voter Focus automatically for FPCA applications saved with one of the following reasons:

• U.S. citizen living outside the country and whose return is uncertain.
• U.S. citizen living outside the country and who never lived in the United States.

Set by the county user in Voter Maintenance for one of the following FPCA voters whose pending ZZ(Z) voter registration record is closed:

• On active duty in the Uniformed Services or Merchant Marine or an eligible spouse or dependent.
• U.S. citizen living outside the country and who intends to return.

Either the automatic or manual method is to record the FPCA application and report the status to TEAM. It does not serve as a voter registration record.

Set by the county user.

The voter submitted an incomplete FPCA application that was set as defective based on reason(s) 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14.

Incomplete Status — H

Set automatically by Voter Focus.

Voter applications are given this status for existing voters with a status other than Active. The status is set when the county office clicks Incomplete or Reject during application processing due to missing or invalid required information.

An Incomplete Registration Notice is scheduled from the Task Notification Queue for a TDL or SSN Verification Failure. The voter has 10 days to respond to the notice.

Voter applications are given this status for new voters. The status is set when the county office clicks Incomplete or Reject during application processing due to missing or invalid required information.

Pending Status — Z

Local county code.

The voter’s application is in Pending status while awaiting verification of their driver license, Texas ID, or Social Security number .

Victim of Violence Status — V(not used)

This reason code is no longer used. The county database should have no record with this status.
