Move Challenged Voter Applications to Ten Day Status
This List Maintenance task updates the status of voters who were challenged, but did not respond to the Notice of Challenge within 10 days from the date of the challenge or were determined ineligible at a resulting hearing. This task is similar to Move Incomplete Voters to Not Registered Status but for the challenged voters.
This task finds all voters who were printed a Notice of Challenge 10 days or less before a date you specify AND has one of the following challenged statuses:
- C1 - C6(C)
- AC(A)

- Go to LIST MAINTENANCE > List Maintenance Tasks > Move Challenged Voter Applications to Ten Day Status.
- On the Voter Management dialog, in the Effective Date field, accept the default date (the current date) or enter a different effective date. The system looks for incomplete registrations that are ten days or older from the date entered.
- Click Process.
- A list of the voters displays on the Results dialog. Note that, so far, the status changes are not yet applied.
- Check the list to be sure the voters' statuses should be changed, making sure that ten days have passed since the dates in the Notice Printed column. Once you convert voter statuses, there is no automated way to undo the change.
- To convert the status of the listed voters,
click Continue, and then click OK on the confirmation dialog to do the following:
- New voter applicants
- Update status to RC(D), Rejected - Challenge.
- Schedule a Notice of Rejection for the voters in the Notices Queue.
- Removes challenged record from the Eligibility Match Queue.
- Existing voters
- Update status to 1(A), Active.
- Keep challenged record in the Eligibility Match Queue with Past 10 day Challenge Eligibility in the Status column.
- Add the change to the Audit tab in the voters' records.
- New voter applicants
