Print Voter Certificates
When certain changes are made to a voter's record—a change of precinct, for example—the voter is automatically scheduled for a new voter certificate. This means a request to print the voter's certificate is placed in the Notices Queue. From the queue, you can print the certificates. See Print a Notice for instructions.
The format of your voter information certificates is defined in Document Maintenance. As you are probably aware, Texas law requires the following information on all voter certificates:
Voter Unique Identifier (VUID) | Precinct number |
Year of birth | Certificate validity dates |
Gender | Voter name and mailing address |
You have the option of printing a trailer certificate at the end of the print run from the Notices Queue. The trailer certificate indicates the number of certificates printed, the print date, and other information. To turn on this feature, select VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Options > Print Trailer Voter Certificate.

Sometimes you might want to print just one voter's certificate and you want to print it right away. This can be done from the voter's record provided that the Voter Certificate program is running and certain other settings are configured.
When you print from a voter's record, the certificate is scheduled in the Notices Queue, even though it prints immediately. After printing, it is removed from the Notices Queue. A record that the voter was sent a new voter certificate is noted on the voter's Audit and Comms tabs.
See Print a Single Voter Certificate for instructions on printing a certificate from a voter's record.

Many counties outsource printing of their voter certificates to a commercial print house rather than printing the certificates in house. For more information on this option, see Export a File of Voter Certificates to a Commercial Printer.

Some counties want a voter label to be scheduled along with each voter certificate. These labels are typically used for filing purposes or affixed to the backs of NVRA forms for internal county use. They are typically sent to a DYMO or other label printer.
If you want labels to print with voter certificates, select VOTER FOCUS ADMIN > System Options > County Uses Voter Labels. For immediate printing from a voter's record, see Print a Single Voter Label.
