Manually Change Registration Totals

When you freeze registration totals, you can manually enter the registration totals you want to appear on your website for each political party.  

You should only do this if you have frozen the registration totals. If you manually enter new registration totals but do not freeze the totals, the numbers you entered will be overwritten the next time new registration totals are synchronized from Voter Focus to VR Tower. Also note that changes made in to the registration totals in VR Tower do not change the totals in Voter Focus.

Note: Parties with zero registered voters do not appear in the Registration Totals pane.

  1. Go to the Registration Totals page.

  2. In the Frozen Democrats total field, enter the number of Democratic voters as of book closing for the upcoming election.

  3. Do the same for the Frozen Republicans total, Frozen Others total, and Frozen NPA total fields. (The NPA field only needs to be populated if your site shows NPA totals. The Others field is for the total of voters who are neither Democrats nor Republicans.)

  4. In the Frozen As Of Date field, enter the date when these totals were taken, typically the date of book closing.

  5. In the Return to calculated totals on field, enter the date when you want to resume display of the daily automatic totals.

  6. Click Update.

  7. If you entered today's date in the Frozen As of Date field, refresh your page to see changes.
