The Provisional Ballot Status Form
Adding this form to your website lets voters in your county see the status of the provisional ballot they cast in a selected election.
To support this service to voters, the county must:
-
Record the issuance of provisional ballots in the Voter Focus system.
-
Provide the each voter with the system ID associated with their provisional ballot.
-
Record the disposition of each ballot in Voter Focus.
-
Provide a link to the form on the county website.
The provisional ballot information is automatically exported to the VR Systems web servers by the VRScheduler - UpdateWebHosting.exe program. This program runs automatically every 20 minutes on your Voter Focus server. The transfer services should be checked daily to verify they are working properly.
To access their provisional ballot status, the voter clicks the link you provided to bring up the login page.
The voter completes the form by selecting the election where they voted by provisional ballot, entering a valid provisional ballot ID for the election, and clicking Submit.
