Inviting Students to Retake a Course or Test

If a student does not pass a course test, you may want them to review the course and/or retake the test.

The Review Course option will always appear when a student completes a course, both when they pass and fail, allowing them to refer back to the course material as needed.

The Retake Test option will only be available if the Allow Test Retakes? (Settings > Access tab) options is set to Yes.

If the Allow Test Retakes? option is set to No, you must re-invite students to take the course in order for them to be able to retake the test.

Note: Re-inviting a student to a course is not the same as re-emailing a student a course invite. Thebutton simply sends the student another email invitation for their current course enrollment.
  1. From Voter Focus, remove the student from the course.
  2. Wait until the student no longer shows as invited in ELM.

    3. VRScheduler will run within an hour and you can verify in ELM under Students > select the student by clicking on their name > Invites tab. The information will display an Invite Student to Take Course button next to the course.

  3. From Voter Focus, assign the student to the course again.
Reminder: An ELM student is a student created in the ELM system only as opposed to an election worker, who is maintained in the voter registration database.
  1. From ELM System, de-invite the student.
  2. From ELM System, invite the student to the course again.
