Load a Staging Activator onto an EViD Station
This topic explains how to load a staging image from activators onto EViD stations. It is not necessary that each station have its own activator; you can use the same activator to stage multiple EViDs. If you are staging EViDs for both early voting and for election day, the staging activators can be used interchangeably.
To load a staging activator on an EViD station:

Power on the EViD station.

Insert the staging activator.

An alert message will appear, indicating the election number you are about to stage and offering you the option of clicking Yes to continue with staging or No to cancel the operation. This is designed to prevent users from loading a staging activator by mistake when they should be loading an early voting or election day activator instead. Click Yes.

The updates, if any, will be installed. If the Fast Voter Check-in software was updated, this program will be restarted automatically.

In the dialog that appears, enter your initials and touch OK. When installation is complete, you will see the software version number and election number at the top of the EViD screen. This indicates the installation was successful.
